So, we've been around for...2 months or so now. Played one show, that we don't count because of a time limitation and a replacement drummer with 48 hours of practice. All in all, the first show wasn't a disaster, but we want it on lock for the next show.
Brian and Greg have been tearing it up at Chateau Grim (awesome name for an awesome casa), Greg has been learning drums just to record demos with, as Brian has picked up the guitar and gave us some pretty hard songs. Friday, Brad and I will trek over to CG and lay down our stuff.
Just hearing the recordings today, even with the quick line change for recording (Brian is usually on bass, Greg is on guitar. For recording purposes at the house when Brad and I aren't there, Greg takes on drums and Brian tears up the guitar), I think this band is going to go the fuck off. We all have fun, which is the important part, and we hope kids get into some of our music. I mean, there's even a song about skateboarding. (PS: posting a video at the end of the smoothest skate part I've seen in a fade)
If I haven't said it yet, thanks to Justin Ferg for filling in for our first show, you're the dude. He's in a band called She, which I have mentioned and gave a shout out to in my last blog.
So, keep up on us and hopefully our new stuff will be recorded soon. Definitely come out for the show on February 13th with She, Decepticide, and some other bands TBA. Hang out, tear it up, sing a long, get on stage, whatever. Thanks.
There's the video I promised. Just watch it, definitely worth the time.
